DMCA & Copyright Policy
Last Updated: May 3, 2026
MyHandle acts strictly as a registry and licensing agent. We respect the intellectual property of others and expect our users to do the same.
AI-Generated Content Stance
Because current U.S. Copyright law dictates that purely AI-generated instrumentals lack human authorship and cannot be federally copyrighted, MyHandle will not process traditional copyright takedown requests for purely AI-generated instrumental beats that happen to sound similar, as they exist in the public domain.
Protecting Human Elements (Lyrics & Voice)
We vigorously protect the human elements registered on our platform. If you believe that your original written lyrics, your copyrighted vocal recordings, or your legal Right of Publicity (your vocal likeness) has been uploaded to MyHandle without your authorization, you may submit a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice.
Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
Please send a written communication to our Designated Copyright Agent containing the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the human-authored right allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work (e.g., the original lyrics) or Right of Publicity claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the specific track/AI-ID on MyHandle that is claimed to be infringing.
- Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Repeat Infringer Policy
MyHandle maintains a strict "strike" policy. Users who repeatedly upload unauthorized human-authored lyrics or unauthorized vocal clones belonging to third parties will have their accounts permanently terminated, their Credits forfeited, and their pending royalties frozen.
